Kodak Target Brownie Six-16 & Six-20
(1941-1946) The Kodak Target Brownie is a box camera that was made in two versions like many other box cameras: Six-20 and Six-16. They use 616 and 620 film and feature a top slide for adjusting aperture settings: f/16 for bright light and f/11 for lower light. Additionally, it has a switch for bulb (B) exposure, allowing timed shots for extended exposure in dimmer conditions. Also, it would appear that this model was the predecessor to the Kodak Brownie Target.
A collector’s note: This design came in two styles: one with a tinted gold bevel and the other in all black with white lettering. The Brownie Junior also had a black faceplate variation.
Restoration Tip: If cleaning the tinted faceplate, stick to using dish soap as anything else will likely remove the gold tint.
