Vintage, Art Deco styled black Kodak Brownie Target Six-20

Kodak Brownie Target

(1946-1952) The Brownie Target Six-20 and Six-16 were extremely popular and is perhaps one of the easier box cameras to find. Conditions vary, but I think finding this model in good condition is very possible. You’ll find that the original straps were replaced sometimes or are just missing. Also, from what I gather, the Target Brownie seems to be the predecessor to this model. This model also seems to be last of the Brownie box-style cameras. It was during the late 1940s that Kodak began producing their new line of Bakelite plastic cameras, starting with the Kodak Brownie Hawkeye, which I think really captures the stylistic transition into 1950s America.

A collector’s note: This design came in two styles: one is the glossy painted front, and the other is beveled with the metal tinted gold.
