Vintage, Art Deco styled black leather Kodak Brownie Junior Six-20 and Six-16, side by side

Kodak Brownie Junior

(1934-1942) The Six-20 Brownie Junior using 620 film while the bigger Six-16 used 616 film. It was made in the US, Canada, and England, with variations in design and materials, including cardboard and metal bodies. The camera was known for its simple construction and ease of use, typical of Kodak's Brownie series. The Art Deco version, seen here, was especially popular, though other versions had plain fronts or lacked advanced features like a pull-out control for close-up lenses or smaller apertures. The production of the Brownie Junior appears to have overlapped with the similarly styled Kodak Target Brownie.

Collector’s Note: I’m still trying to find more information regarding the black faceplate variation of some Brownie cameras. I’m not sure if they were produced only in America, how many years, etc… but they exist and came in both Six-20 and Six-16 versions.
