Kodak Brownie Starflex
(1957-1964) The Kodak Brownie Starflex was a simple, easy-to-use twin lens reflex (TLR) camera designed for amateur photographers. Launched in 1957, it featured a basic design by Arthur H. Crapsey and included a flashgun. Despite its "twin lens" design, the finder optics were simpler than the main lens. It had a built-in sports finder and a shutter mechanism that prevented multiple exposures. The camera offered two aperture settings (for color and black-and-white film) and used 127 roll film, producing 4x4 cm exposures. It was sold for $10 and became part of Kodak's successful Star series.
