Kodak Pony
(1949-1962) The Kodak Pony cameras are a series of compact, Bakelite-bodied cameras designed by Arthur H. Crapsey for Kodak. Positioned between the Brownie roll film cameras and the Signet 35mm series, they feature simple viewfinders, Kodak's high-quality Anastons and Anastars lenses, and synchronized shutters. They use 35mm film, except for the Pony 828, which uses roll film in 35mm width. Similar models with Angenieux lenses were also produced by Kodak France. The cameras have manual features like film advance/rewind knobs and a double exposure prevention system.
A collector’s note:
There are 6 versions: Pony 135, Pony 135 Model B, Pony 135 Model C, Pony 828, Pony II, and Pony IV.
