Kodak Petite
(1929-1934) The Kodak Petite was a colorful version of the Vest Pocket Kodak Model B, designed to appeal to women with its stylish look. The camera had many different stylings. The base came in five colors: blue, gray, green, lavender, and old rose. Those featured a diamond-patterned body, which was mirrored in a matching case and contrasting bellows. The Petite can be easily confused with the Rainbow Hawk-Eye Vest Pocket due to the color stylings.
Likewise, there were additional models with an ornate step-patterned front plate. This model also came in five colors.
There was also a model with a diamond-patterned front plate and a brown leather body.
A collector’s note:
Each color had a matching carrying case.
The Petites had colored bellows, a lot of times you’ll find the bellows have been replaced with a black bellows.
The Kodak Petite was also the base for the rare Kodak Coquette with the lightning bolt pattern.
I can’t confirm yet but I believe that some models of the Petite came with a Stylus while others did not. For example, the green version I have posted alongside the step-patterned version, both of those did not come with the Stylus/Autograph feature.
