Kodak Brownie Reflex

The Kodak Brownie Reflex non-synchronized camera was made in the US from May 1940 to August 1942. It has a simple Bakelite body, a main lens, and a reflective mirror viewfinder with a hinged metal cover. The film winder is at the base, which can be removed for loading film. Notably, it lacks flash sync terminals under the main lens, unlike later models.

The Kodak Brownie Reflex Synchro Model, produced from September 1941 to May 1952 in the US and from 1946 to May 1960 in the UK (with some made in Canada), ran for about 20 years. This model has a two-pin flash connector below the lens, a screw on top, and a side lug for attaching a specific flash unit. It also came with a leather case.
