Kodak Beau Brownie

The Beau Brownie was released in 2 sizes:

No. 2 (Small) — 620 film

No. 2a (Big) — 616 film

(1930-1933) It also came in 5 colors: black, blue, green, rose and tan. The rose and green finishes were only produced in 1930 and 1931 which makes them rare finds, especially in good quality. I think you should always check that the top hand strap is intact when determining the purchase value (They tend to be fragile so handle with care). The condition of the paint on the face is important as well. I’ve noticed from buying these that many sellers post them without cleaning and it has been quite easy to bring the shine back to the chrome finish.

All Beau Brownies had the option of a color matching carry case so if you’re looking to complete a set, these are awesome finds. It is also possible to find the original boxes sometimes.
